Horse & Human Coaching on the NSW Mid North Coast
Practical, horse-centred support for riders and owners who feel stuck, nervous, or unsure what to do next.
I help horses and humans build safer, clearer, and more confident partnerships through groundwork, ridden coaching, confidence building, and 1:1 support at your place.
Whether your horse is showing difficult behaviour, or you have lost confidence yourself my goal is to support both of you to rebuild trust, confidence, and connection so you can enjoy each other again.

“I’ve learned so much from Lisa — not just about training, but about understanding and supporting Sally. She has such a natural gift for connecting with horses and helping their humans grow alongside them. I’m so grateful for everything she’s taught us and I’d recommend her to absolutely anyone wanting to build a better partnership with their horse.“
-Freya
“Lisa is wonderful to work with any age or stage of horse. Taking a calm and in tune approach to horsemanship and training, my horses and I have benefited greatly from her sessions.“
-Felicity
What I offer
1:1 Horse & Owner Sessions at Your Place in NSW Mid North Coast
In-person support for horses and humans who need practical, real-time help. These sessions are ideal if you feel stuck, nervous, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next with your horse. We may work on groundwork, leading, lunging, confidence building, pre-ride preparation, ridden coaching, or horse training/schooling rides where appropriate.
Best for owners who want to understand what is really going on, build clearer communication, and create a safer, calmer partnership with their horse.
Servicing areas around South West Rocks, Kempsey, Macleay Valley, Nambucca, Bellingen, Port Macquarie-Hastings, Coffs Harbour and surrounds depending on distance.
Online Horse Training Support & Rider Coaching
For horse owners outside my local travel area who want a trained eye on the full picture: horse behaviour, handling, timing, confidence, and the plan.
Online coaching and video review sessions can help you understand what is happening, get clear next steps, and know what to practise between sessions.
Best for nervous riders, owners of green or reactive horses, or anyone who wants thoughtful support but is not local to the Mid North Coast.
Clinics & Group Lessons
Book a clinic or group lesson at your property, club, or local group with a topic that matters to your community.
Possible themes include groundwork foundations, safe riding preparation, confidence building, boundaries and handling, lunging for connection, young horse foundations, or understanding pressure and release as a language.
Each clinic is shaped around the needs of the group.
“From the first session Lisa had our pushy gelding respecting personal space and gave us the tools to keep ourselves safe, teaching us how to enforce boundaries and give us back some confidence.“
– Loretta
Feeling stuck with your horse?
If your horse feels anxious, reactive, pushy, shut down, or hard to understand.
If you’ve lost confidence yourself after time away, a bad experience, or simply because riding feels different now.
If you love your horse deeply, but you’re starting to feel unsure how to move forward.
You don’t need to figure it out alone!
Send me a message with a little about your horse, where you’re located, and what you’re struggling with. I’ll help you work out what support might suit you best whether that’s a local 1:1 session, online coaching, or simply a clearer next step.

Hey there!
I’M LISA.
I work with horses and their humans to build safer, clearer, and more confident partnerships.
I’m not interested in quick fixes, dominance, or forcing a result. I care about understanding what is really happening underneath the behaviour, so we can create change that lasts.
There is no one “right method.” My work blends practical horsemanship with human-side coaching, so you don’t just get information, you get a way forward.
The goal is always the same: understanding and helping the horse while equipping the rider/owner with the right mindset and skills to create a more connected, lasting partnership.

Anchored Attunement is the heart of my horsemanship philosophy – a balance of calm leadership and emotional presence. In this post, I explore how I found my way through the noise of competing styles and built a grounded, flexible approach based on congruence, curiosity, and connection.
